Hi, I’m Laura DeVault
Death Doula, Willow End~of~Life Educator®, Self~Compassion Teacher, Meditation Teacher, Hospice Volunteer
I believe in integrity. I believe in authenticity. I believe in human connection. We need this connection as much as we need air and water.
I believe in vulnerability; it’s how we meet each other when it matters. It always matters. I believe in tenderness and I understand that it sometimes wears a grumpy mask.
I believe that each of us is always doing the best we can in the moment and that sometimes our best isn’t what we would have hoped. I believe in the grace of forgiveness for ourselves and for each other. I recognize that this takes some practice.
I believe in both the power and the peace of allowing things to be just as they are.
I believe joy is always available, and that we sometimes need a little help to find it. Sometimes joy is sitting right there next to grief.
I believe that grief is the ultimate price of love, and that love is always worth it.
